Mechanical Traction

 

 Mechanical Traction is a form of therapy used to place the spine into motion. It is done by having the patient lie on a pad equipped with blades to open the spacing of the spine. This gives the patient a feeling of relaxation and promotes a healthy functioning spine.

Muscle Work

 

Muscle work is manipulation of the soft tissues  to decrease muscular pain and increase function. The doctor uses a smooth edge tool or hands to move the muscles in  the area of discomfort to break up  "knots", increase the blood flow in the area, and stimulate the release of  your body's natural pain relievers.

Acupuncture

 

The history of Acupuncture can be traced back to 2600 B.C. in China. They noted 360 different points located throughout the body can be stimulated to treat a variety of condtions. Today, the doctor completes this stimulation by inserting sterile, stainless steel needles into the skin at specific points to help decrease your pain and other symptoms.

 Massage is the moving of your skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Massage Therapists use their hands, forearms, and elbows while manipulating these soft tissues to increase the healing process, reduce stress,  and promote relaxation and well-being.

 The doctor will identify improperly functioning segments of the spine and other joints. The doctor then uses his hands to complete an adjustment. The adjustment is a high-speed and low-force thrust used to move the joint into proper motion. The treatment is gentle, safe, and can be used on virtually any age.
